Taittinger Luxury Jazz Weekend with Hot Club Sandwich

There are few groups in New Zealand that have attracted such a dedicated following as Hot Club Sandwich. This trio of jazz icons started out putting their own unique twist on traditional jazz standards. They can still roll those out, but nowadays they are much more likely to be exploring French inspired jazz alongside their own compositions, which explore topical themes such as television evangelists, café culture, couch potato rugby fans, dishonest politicians and their relationship with technology. What ever they play, a deliciously wry sense of humour is never far away, neither is the superb musicianship of this unique, unmissable ensemble.

Hot Club Sandwich will be performing Friday, Saturday and Sunday over the weekend so look forward to hearing this extraordinarily talented group performing in the magical Marlborough Sounds.

The Taittinger Story:
