Photography Retreat - Capturing the Natural Environment

Following the popularity of our recent photography retreat weekends, we are pleased to offer a unique opportunity for keen photographers to develop new skills in the heart of our pristine natural environment.

If you are a photographer with a love of the outdoors and a taste for the comforts of 5-star luxury accommodation and fine cuisine, our new Photography Retreat could be the perfect weekend for you.

Hosted by award winning professional photographer, Simon Woolf, the Photography Retreat is suitable for both experienced and novice photographers. A major feature is a guided expedition to Motuara Island, an uninhabited, predator-free reserve in the outer Queen Charlotte Sound, where you will come face to face with rare and endangered native birds and wildlife.

Between photography assignments you can enjoy our acclaimed cuisine and relax in your luxury apartment, looking out on stunning views across the bay. A spa treatment for partners in our exclusive Miritu Spa plus a bottle of Tattinger Champagne is included in the weekend package.

What people are saying

Simon Woolf is an amazing photographer. I realised that you can have raw talent, but must always be striving to learn more and get better so that raw talent becomes polished.

... an amazing, beautiful place to stay. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay memorable, they were so friendly you almost felt like family. The food was incredible – words can't describe the experience. The people I shared this journey with were amazing too.

It motivated me to keep pushing myself and to keep learning. So was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY worth every cent, I loved every moment.
